Good morning Miranda,

I thought I would reach out to you, since a lot of applicants we talk to on a daily basis, saw our company on your website. As we always had hourly jobs from home, our most popular position was commission based only. The good news is that based on reviews and feedback received, we decided to have all of our WAH opportunities pay an hourly rate, and some of them plus commission. Again, we wanted to share that with you since your website is one of the most popular for our applicants. If you have any questions, please contact me directly!

Thanks,

Carolina Gomez

I just submitted my typing speed and computer/personality info. I’d like to know what the new hourly rate is. Thank you for sharing this because I was about to pass this job up due to the negative reviews I’d read.

I was told by someone at Talk2Rep that the hourly pay range is between 9 and 14 an hour for the chat based positions. Someone else recently commented on the original post that she was making a flat 9 an hour but it was worded to make me think she has the potential to earn more with maybe commissions on top of her hourly guaranteed pay.

Thank you, that gives me a idea of what to expect as I wait to hear back for an interview…

Thanks for posting this! I applied (and gave you credit, of course, for the referral) and was sent some testing processes to go through. Fingers crossed. xx

Wow! This is great to know! I used to work for them, but I quit because for two weeks, I wasn’t paid. I had all of my sales, but they said that no one did my surveys so I couldn’t get paid. I was hurt because I really liked the job, but I just couldn’t work anywhere I wasn’t being paid at. I encourage those that have young children as I do (I started right after giving birth) to apply here because they were really sweet…it was just the survey thing that was hurting a lot of people. Thanks for the update!

Does anyone know about how log it takes for the application process? I submitted my test Thursday evening and have only been told that my test are in queue to be scored. Thank you!

Don’t even waste your time with this place. They’re VERY unprofessional, and have a well-known reputation for treating their employees like dirt. RUN don’t walk, RUN away from this place.

I totally agree with you. They treat their employees like dirt and want the employees to be robots. They expect you to handle three chats at a time while meeting sales and survey expectation goals weekly. They don’t praise their employees when they receive positive feedback from customers, you only hear from them when you receive negative customer feedback. And as for as the new $9.00/hr base rate, if you don’t meet your weekly performance goals, your job is still in jeopardy. The employees are basically being blamed for AT&T’s poor service and high prices. We have to defend AT&T’s brand when they are blatantly lying to customers about plan pricing. The customer thinks that they’re going to pay one price, only to find out that they’ll be paying double that price. All AT&T and Talk2Rep cares about is their image, not their employees.

I just wanted to post an update. I have been with talk2rep for two weeks now (out of training). Yes it can get busy. It can be a little stressful. They are upfront with the pay structure. I absolutely love it. If you can handle stress well and are knowledgable of the wireless industry, definitely check them out,

Can anyone tell me if Talk2Rep considers you to be an independent contractor or if they supply you with a W2?

I would like to know exactly what product/service you sell with this company? Under the new pay scale how much commission do you receive?

You will be selling and quoting prices for AT&T products and services. You do not need anything more than a high school degree. You are contracted with them and not an actual employee.

The people that worked there were very friendly, but the comment someone made about your job being in jeopardy if you do not meet sales and survey expectations was correct and you should just prepare yourself to kiss your job good-bye. I was let go after my sales were low because I was not pressuring customers enough and getting that sale at any cost. I guess this job was not for me because I’m more customer service oriented and a no means no to me. I got very few surveys, but most were good on me and bad on whether they would recommend AT&T. Unfortunately, they only look at what the score for recommending AT&T is and overlook everything else. If anything, this job taught me to never leave another bad survey unless I truly mean it!

If you love sales, then this is absolutely the job for you and I would really encourage you to apply.

This was a great job and hopefully Talk2Rep will find another project to work on however the AT&T project contract has now been ended as of yesterday when many of us were laid off.

Hey Miranda!

Just jumping in with an update. The contract with AT&T did end. AT&T has actually pulled all of their online chat agents with other vendors as well. They are doing everything from the home office. I am no longer with Talk2Rep. However, I do believe that they have phone jobs available currently, but nothing chat based. Hope all is well!

I was saddened when I heard that news. I appreciate the update and I will be sure to let other people know they may have phone openings.
