Order Services – An Order Services Associate assists the customers with both placing orders and answering product related questions. QVC provides our Order Services Virtual Associates with the required equipment to successfully fulfill their core duties as well as incurs the fees for establishing and maintaining a home business connection (internet service). Virtual Associates may be required to come into their base locations for meetings with their supervisor/manager, team meetings, performance reviews, training, coaching opportunities, etc…. Order Services Virtual Associate scheduling range from Part-Time Flex to Full-Time Variable schedules based on business needs. Our Virtual Associate Team is part of QVC’s Contact Center Contingency Plan during Inclement weather situations.

What do I need to do to work at home?
•Have a quiet and secure work space within your home or apartment. Since you will be dealing with customer sensitive information we require that the area, you select to set-up your workstation, is free from noise and guests.
•Live within the state of the actual site location and within 50 miles of the base home site.
•High speed Broadband internet connection (512K or greater) will be needed from your local Internet provider.
•Accessibility of telecommunications connections.
•Adequate 3-Pronged Electrical outlets.
•You must maintain adequate homeowner’s /renters insurance for the residence/property (Your insurers must be informed of your new work at home assignment; however it is unlikely that this would result in additional costs. In all cases, this should be discussed directly with your homeowner’s/renter’s insurance carrier).
•Once accepted into the program you will need to purchase a desk and a desk chair that will provide you ergonomic support while working (this applies to those who do not already have a desk or chair).
Working from home isn’t suited everyone. Individuals that are well organized, work independently, self-motivated and are confident with processes and procedures will thrive as Virtual Associate. Individuals that prefer guidance from others and are in need of social interaction may find it difficult. It’s important to know yourself well and understand your needs before committing to a work at home career.
One of the misconceptions of working from home is that you can do other non-related QVC activities while working at home. For instance, some caregivers may think they can care for loved ones while working at home, or parents may believe that they can take care of their children. This is not the case with QVC’s Work at Home Program. Even though your scheduled hours will be at home, the expectation of service and professionalism will remain the same. We recommend that you talk to others within your household and consider the practicalities of working from home.
