Weekly Roundup [ Hot Jobs, My Newest Attempts and More ] 07-06-12

It has been a slow week for me! I took a nice break for Independence day and although I loved the time off, I am now feeling behind in all aspects of life…cleaning house, work, email….Anyone else feeling it?

 

Who has been hiring?

I spend a lot of time in an online forum called Work Place Like Home. There has been some great information shared this week about job openings.

Virtual Office VA Staffing  hires Virtual Assistants. In previous months they hired several new people and I heard a lot of great things. Today I learned they are hiring again! Needle Inc hires Chat Sales Reps. I know many of you readers have a dream of working a chat or email based job that still pays the bills. I have not had a lot of time to research this one but I don’t want it to slip away.  Someone at the forum told us about how she has been working for a company and things have been going well so far.  It appears the average pay for this chat based job is $9-12 an hour! However, the application part can seem confusing according to many posters so if you are interested I highly suggest you read through this thread for instructions and some help in navigating your way through it.

My Newest Attempts to Earning Money Online

I am always trying new things and re-trying old things to make a living from working online. Since I moved away from working for companies and working for myself I have valued more and more of these small earning opportunities. I may be earning from 20 different places a month, but I am surpassing my income goals thanks to each revenue source.

Amazon Affiliates is something I have decided to spend some time with. Being an Amazon Affiliate allows you to earn money for telling people about products you love. As you can see, in the right sidebar I have listed some books I am reading and have on my list to read. A couple of these are free if you have an electronic reader, tablet or smartphone. Anytime someone visits Amazon from my site, I could earn 6% of whatever they buy over the next 89 days! Seems too good to be true…but of course it is the main source of revenue for MANY bloggers (Darren Rowse earned nearly $120,000 over a 6 year period–half of that in just 12 months!). If you have a blog or a large social media following then try it out!

My Zazzle Store is getting some love. I spent some time this week setting up my Zazzle store and adding some products to it. It is so easy to do! If anyone makes a purchase through my store then I earn 10%!! This is a fun way to get creative and possibly earn some money. With Christmas coming around the corner, you may want to consider this revenue source! Check out the WAHA Home Swag Store.

Shopcade is a new program that reminds me of Pinterest. You can ‘pin’ different items to your boards and follow different categories (shoes, Gucci, sunglasses etc) and if anyone purchases an item from your board you earn money. I am not sure how much potential this has but it has been fun so far and I like that you only need a penny to cashout! Once I have more experience using Shopcade I will share it with you in a review here at WAHA. Check it out in the meantime.
