LiveOps Home Based Call Center

Updated on: by Amy Kennedy

I have a huge soft spot for LiveOps. When I was desperate to find work I could do from home, LiveOps was my saving grace! At a time when I had lost hope of ever finding legitimate work from home, LiveOps found me! After two years of great money and a great diversity in work, I am saying goodbye to LiveOps.  Unfortunately, with my husband’s schedule becoming so erratic and me going back to school, it is essential I focus on work that does not require a phone. However, I would like to share my experience with anyone thinking of applying to be a LiveOps Independent Agent.

LiveOps is a call center that hires agents to work from the comfort of their home to answer or place calls for a huge variety of clients. From inbound/outbound sales, customer service, insurance sales, lead generation, food services and even positions like transcription and call auditing, there is a large variety of job types to keep anyone busy at LiveOps. And with a pay range of $8-$20+ per hour, plenty of incentive to work as much as you like!

This leads me to one of my favorite things about LiveOps. YOU pick your schedule! Many lines have shifts available 24/7!  You choose your shifts in 30-minute increments! You can work as much or as little as you like.  The hours are so flexible at Liveops it allowed me to schedule
myself completely around my husband’s job. Therefore, allowing us to never ask for a babysitter or need daycare!

There is so much information I could share with you about my favorite work at home job with LiveOps but I will leave you with the bare basics for now.  Keep in mind when contemplating working for LiveOps, they offer 24/7 hotline support, chat support while on calls and a GREAT forum of wonderful and helpful agents. Although I am saying goodbye to LiveOps, I am still keeping my LiveOps family!

For more information, check out the LiveOps website.

I am very thankful for Live Ops like you. Live Ops kind of happened at exactly the time I needed something. And it does have its benefits, flexibility being very nice! There are some things I'm not happy with though. I don't like some of the sales aspects, and there are some products I don't really care for. And its harder to make money on a lot of lines during the day! Just thought i would mention that too for opinions on live ops. Overall though I think the benefits outweigh the negatives!

Thank you for the additional viewpoint. As with most jobs, there are definitely some negatives. Fortunately for me, any time I began to feel frustrated with anything, a new line would be offered and I would get a nice break. But I may just be on the lucky side lol 🙂

Live Ops is NOT Employee Friendly. You have to figure the system out yourself, and they offer Very little to no support. The scripts for "upsells" and "additional sales" are border line ethical. If you have a problem with trying to taking advantage of unsuspecting callers, then LiveOps is NOT for you! If you don't mind screwing people who can't afford it, then you'll do GREAT!

I worked for liveops years ago and loved it. I became too busy outside the home and resigned and now would like to return to them for "back up" money since I am an older waittress. It would have been nice to have last year when I broke my ankle. lol

I hope you reapply! I know a lot has changed, but they are still, IMO, the BEST virtual call center for home based agents.

Is there a waiting period to reapply at Liveops. I have been trying to find that out. Do they rehire:

As far as I know, there is no waiting period to reapply. You will just be expected to pay another background check. Best of luck to you.

Debra,
This position at LiveOps does not require any certain level of education. It does help to have some sort of customer service and/or phone work experience. This is a very helpful section of their site: http://join.liveops.com/being-an-agent/faq.php

Good luck to you!!

I am working to become a liveop agent if or when I pass the background check list. Thank you for the informative information. I have read everything on this page and I believe there is a future in liveops as a agent. I love talking to people everyday and I have always worked for the public. There are always some ups and downs in every business venture. I believe I have made a wonderful choice for a very beautiful experience. I look forward to going through what ever training program they have and becoming a part of the liveops community board. Wish me the best. THANKS for this insight. I love this page.

I just applied for a position with LiveOps last night. How long does it normally take for them to get back to you?

I can vary – depending on their need right now. I think it took a couple of months when I applied many years ago- but those who apply during busy times are more likely to get a response right away. I asked a couple of friends who are currently working at LiveOps how busy they are- I will let you know what they tell me after they respond.

Well so much as changed at LiveOps in the last year., to the point that I would not wish it on my worst enemy. Today I feel that there are much better options for people who want to work from home. I am waiting to complete my insurance licensing and will try it with LiveOps when I get it. However, given their recent history I am not hopeful. I will be selling primarily for other companies.
