ChatAbout is fairly new site but gaining in popularity quickly. There are constant discussions and many people responding to questions. Even if you aren’t looking at ChatAbout to earn money online, it is a great place to meet others who share your passions in life. It’s also a really good way to get your burning questions answered.

I’ve been active for over 2 months. I joined sometime in January and I really like it so far. I don’t feel like I am trying to make money because the conversations are genuine. It’s an enjoyable site and the fact I earn money for being active is pretty awesome.

Here is a quick promo video that explains the basic concept of what ChatAbout is well…all about.

How Can You Make Money Online with ChatAbout?

Chat About has many ways to earn points that are then exchanged for rewards like PayPal deposits, Amazon gift cards or other various prizes that are shipped to you for free. You can earn points for commenting in discussions, answering questions left by other members, answering surveys and poll questions along with a variety of other daily bonus offers. ChatAbout is still evolving and adding new ways to earn all the time.

Is There a Daily Limit to Points Earned?

In an effort to avoid people posting nonsense comments in the discussion boards just to rack up points- Chat About has implemented a daily limit of 50 points earned through comments.

How Quickly Do Points Credit?

When commenting or participating in discussions, your points are credited to you immediately.

When you complete offers – the points are credited once you have completed the offer according to the instructions. So far from my experience, they credit you right away- unlike another similar site (swagbucks) where I usually have to wait a day or two to see the points and even then, it still may not appear. However, my experience with ChatAbout has been very limited. I have only completed a few of the offers but so far so good.

Can You Earn from Referrals?

Yes. You can earn 20% of what your friends earn for as long as forever.

Can I use ChatAbout from my Mobile Device?

Not at the moment. I really hope this feature comes soon because I would be a lot more active than I am now.  The site simply isn’t set up well to be responsive with mobile devices like smartphones or tablets. You can visit and read the site but you can’t earn points. ChatAbout says they are working toward a mobile-friendly version soon.

How Quickly do they Pay Out?

I used my first 500 points to receive a $5 Amazon credit. In less than 24 hours I received an email with my gift card code.

Later, I used a few hundred points to buy a silly pair of glasses made from a straw – my 4 year old will love them! I have not received them yet so it is still pending as to how long items may take after cashing out, but my guess is that it can vary since there are a lot of factors to consider. Depending on your location, the warehouse the product is stored and how long the postal service takes to deliver may affect the length of time it takes.

Today I cashed out another 500 points for a $5 PayPal deposit. After cashing out I received a message to allow up to 48 days to process the request and verify my points/activity.

**Update 03/04/2014- I received my PayPal deposit less than 12 hours after requesting payment.

In what Countries is ChatAbout Available?

ChatAbout is only available to residents of US, Canada, Australia, UK.

What is the Age Restriction at ChatAbout?

Anyone who uses ChatAbout agrees that they are at least 18  years old.

How to Optimize Your Participation in Polls and Surveys on ChatAbout

Participating in polls and surveys on ChatAbout can be a great way to earn points and maximize your earnings.

By following these strategies, you can optimize your participation and make the most out of these opportunities.

Choose Polls and Surveys Wisely

When browsing through the available polls and surveys on ChatAbout, be selective in choosing the ones you participate in.

Look for surveys that align with your interests or areas of expertise.

This will not only make the experience more enjoyable but also increase the likelihood of providing valuable insights.

Provide Detailed and Accurate Responses

When answering survey questions or participating in polls, take the time to provide detailed and accurate responses.

Companies value thoughtful feedback, and it increases your chances of qualifying for higher-paying surveys in the future.

Be honest and provide genuine opinions, as this can lead to more rewarding opportunities.

Regularly Check for New Polls and Surveys

Keep a regular check on ChatAbout for new polls and surveys.

Companies frequently release new surveys to gather insights on various topics.

By staying active and being one of the first to participate, you can increase your chances of qualifying and earning more points.

Complete Surveys in a Timely Manner

Many surveys have a limited number of slots available for participants.

Once you receive an invitation to a survey, try to complete it as soon as possible to secure your spot.

Surveys may close once they reach the desired number of respondents, so being prompt is essential to maximize your opportunities.

Utilize Bonus Offers and Daily Surveys

ChatAbout often provides bonus offers and daily surveys that offer additional points.

Take advantage of these opportunities as they can significantly boost your earnings.

Make it a habit to check for these bonus offers and participate in the daily surveys to earn extra points consistently.

Engage in Discussions Related to Surveys

In addition to participating in surveys, engage in discussions related to the survey topics.

This demonstrates your knowledge and interest in the subject matter, potentially increasing your chances of being invited to more targeted surveys in the future.

Share valuable insights, ask relevant questions, and actively contribute to the community.

Share Feedback and Suggestions

If you encounter any issues or have suggestions regarding the survey-taking process on ChatAbout, don’t hesitate to reach out to their support team.

Providing feedback helps them improve the user experience and ensures a better environment for earning points through surveys and polls.

Is ChatAbout Legit or a Scam?

Based on my experience, ChatAbout is completely legit. I have cashed out three times so far without any issues whatsoever. There is not any evidence online from what I could gather of people having problems for any reason at ChatAbout.

Sign up for ChatAbout and keep an eye out for me in the discussions! There is even a topic set up all about Work at Home!

I’m going to have to give this one a try! I’ve always been hesitant about social communities that pay for posts, but this one looks legit. I like how easy it is to sign up with your Facebook, too. Thanks for the information! I signed up with your link, so hopefully you get the referral credit. 🙂

chatabout is a scam-they do not pay and they delete people’s profiles-so far I have found others this has happened to as well-the admin are not limited to the 20 word posts and they actively abuse their members by calling them names and then deleting the profiles whose opinions they dont agree with

I signed up on April 17th and got to 1,025 points in the same day. You only need 1,000 points to request $10 via paypal. So I request a paypal cash out for $10 via paypal and still have not received it today is April 20th. I sent and email to them earlier today because they have no phone number (one sign I did check on because so many ppl claim they are legit). I just went to the website and now I cant log in so I thought maybe I forgot my password so I chose the forgot password option and it says my email is not in the data base lol seriously. The site seems to well constructed and legit, I’m always avoiding the signs of a scam but this one didn’t have many until payout and no phone #. I’m definitely going to spread the word.

As of August 18, 2014, the points needed to cash out has increased and I can’t find an explanation why…it used to be 500 points to equal $5 for Paypal or Amazon, now it is 1000 points to cashout for $5. I only found this out when I tried to cash out at 500 points and was unable to do so. So this program is changing that is why it is always best to get in earlier before these programs get saturated.

I used to love this website! I told my friends and family about it. I worked hard to get myself up to 5,048 and once I redeemed it for the $50 Amazon gift card, they wiped me out completely from their website. My friend who has an account with them said as if I never joined! All my comments and everything I wrote is gone. I wrote to them about 6 times and I didn’t get 1 reply back from them. I am really upset and hurt by this. When I was with them the administration made it seem they were nice and helpful but they are fake!

PLEASE DON’T JOIN!!! Save your time and efffort!

This site is a scam. They offer a gold membership package and a free account. I started a free account, stayed a free member for 4 month before upgrading, built up a good following, and earned a lot of points. I paid out of my own pocket even tho you could use your points to pay for a membership. 4 days after paying them for the Gold Membership, I can no longer log in! I emailed them 4 times in over 3 weeks. No response, Not one!
Paypal redeemed me the money after opening a dispute! they even tried to contact them, to no avail. At least I was able to get my money back smile emoticon
STAY AWAY FROM THERE SITE! AND THEM!.
I can see that people are still writing on the site, and most of them are free members!

I’ve never heard of ChatAbout before. It does sound interesting. But I wonder why you can only create an account there by using Facebook? Some sites, like HubPages, give you the option of being able to choose whether you want to sign in using Facebook or not.
