Call me crazy but the thought of being called to jury duty sounds exciting! Maybe I am disillusioned to believe it is anything but a burden and major interruption on life and maybe I am too addicted to Law and Order to see reality. What is a Mock Jury?
Before real-life cases are taken before a judge and a panel of 12 jurors, many lawyers will hire services to hold a mock jury where dozens of people can review the information and give their personal judgement. The lawyers use this information to gauge if a settlement should be given, learn what evidence is most beneficial or damaging and learn how the public views the information.
How Much Do You Get Paid?
Every company is different and every trial is different. From what I have seen, a lot of companies pay in any range from $5 to $100. Factors such as how much time is put into participation or how involved the trial is determines the payout.
Can I Make a Living From This?
Unfortunately not. Mock jury duty is based on your region and the need at the time. It is something you will be lucky to be chosen for even once. It is more of a way to make an unexpected bonus chunk of money.

I have no idea how they found me, but I did this once. It was awesome! I loved every minute of it. I got free lunch, breakfast, and paid $100 for one day. I would do it again in a heartbeat~

I signed up for a couple of these when I first decided to work from home. Maybe it is because I live in a small town, but I have never heard back from anyone.

I suspect these cases are likely more interesting than the average cases most of us find at traditional jury duty. I have never seen anything remotely like tv at jury duty. In fact the experiences I have had included rude clerks and long boring waits in crowded rooms.
I suspect this experience would be far more pleasant than the real deal, which I seem to hit every time my eligiblity comes due.

A couple of years ago I got invited to do one of these. I forget which company, but it was kind of fun. The one I did didn't pay much, though. I think it was around the $5 to $10 range.
