I have made contact with Liberty Workers to have a better understanding of these allegations made now by dozens of people. The following is the response I received with Liberty Worker’s explanation.  Due to this response and learning a bit more about the situation, I would no longer consider what happened a “scam” but rather an unprofessional and unfortunate event.

I am sharing the following email with permission from it’s sender.

Hi Miranda,

Thanks for getting in touch. We apologize for any confusion that your readers have come across during their interactions with our company.

I can assure you we are not a scam. It would have cost us a lot of time and money to setup a website (which is currently undergoing a revamp), professional programs such as our document signing program and ATS.

Are you familiar with a company called Arise? I’m sure you are since you run a work at home job website. Similar to Arise, we take a percent from each person’s pay. We take these people’s privacy very seriously and have done nothing with their information.

Though we have no relationship with ZeroChaos, we have made this clear from the beginning. In fact the program manager, James Young even reached out to our Talent Manager in attempt to work out a deal which unfortunately didn’t see its way through. All of our “team members” sign a contract and agree to pay us a certain percentage of their earnings. In this case, we used split deposit. A few companies offer it depending on their payroll processor. It allows someone to deposit a percentage into different accounts.

There have also been allegations that we used fake resumes to ensure everyone that applies gets hired on. This is definitely not the case and we have no knowledge of anything like that ever taking place.

Unfortunately, no matter how long you have been researching work at home companies, it’s still possible to be duped. Most recently, the companies making the biggest headway in the work at home scamming are companies pretending to be other reputable businesses.

Last April I shared a job posting I found for a company called Liberty Workers. They claimed to contract for Google to do search engine evaluating. I had never heard of the particular company but it sounded similar to ZeroChaos so I didn’t worry too much about it. Until I received a message from a reader who had been scammed by this company!

I’m not sure if it was in here or not that I found the job posting, but I applied for an ads quality rater position for…

It makes me sick to my stomach that this happens and worse of all, that I had anything to do with it. As I warn on my job postings page and in the job alert newsletter, I cannot afford the time to manually research in depth every job I share. I use my common sense but once in a while they get smart and slip through. I apologize if I led any of my readers to this scam. I urge you to report your experience to the Federal Trade Commission right away!

You can start your claim report on the FTC website https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

You should also consider sending a fraud alert to the credit agencies to hopefully secure your credit. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0275-place-fraud-alert

ZeroChaos is now aware of this scam and they are taking action to prevent anyone from further damage.

It’s times like this that make subscriptions to companies like Flexjobs seem very realistic. You pay a monthly fee but they can then use that money to fund the cost of researching each company before sharing the leads.

If you find your own leads or use sites like this one, be sure to approach with caution and research if anything at all seems off.

I was scammed by Liberty Workers. I was contacted by a lady named Raven Park and offered a job through Liberty Workers with Zero Chaos as an Ad Rater. She requested my personal information in order to set up my account with Zero Chaos. Luckily, I didn’t make it far enough in the process that I had to give out my bank account number. I thank the Lord for that.

Today, I visited your Facebook page and saw the post about Liberty Workers being a scam. My heart sunk. I really needed this job. After months of searching, I was happy to have finally found work. Now, I’m back to square one again.

I’m doing everything possible to insure my information is not used for any wrong doing. I also hope everyone scammed by these people will fair well too. Hopefully they will be caught and justice will be served. Until then, I will keep all who were taken advantage of in my prayers. I really have to believe God will use this for dark moment for good.

I’d like to refute that letter submitted from Liberty Workers. As someone who was affected by their hiring. James Young from ZeroChaos is the manager that informed me of what was going on, personally said they had never heard of Liberty Workers and had a lot of trouble getting any information about them, and he was the one that informed me that the same resume with minor changes appeared to have been used. The person this email was from, Donna Cabbis, was never a part of the hiring process or ever mentioned to us. The names that appeared in the emails was primarily Raven Park and then a Kiki, no last name. I feel like they are perpetuating their scam.

@Rikki Klassy

I am one of the Talent Associates with Liberty Workers. There’s quite a few of us, so it’s not uncommon that you haven’t heard of me in particular. Especially, if you had been working directly with Raven and or Kiki.

As we’ve made clear numerous times, ZeroChaos and Liberty Workers have no relationship with each other. We are a private organization and therefore we do not have a bounty of information available. Regardless of how much or little information they have available about that them, that has nothing to do with their legitimacy.

We have no knowledge of any falsified resumes or candidate information that ZeroChaos received.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion and no one can pass judgment on you for your own personal thoughts.

Thanks again for your comments.

Very unethical and sketchy. There was a lot of deceit. Liberty Workers is legitimate in conning and lying. So yeah- they are real. Good job and thank you for such a let down.

Liberty Workers and their scam artists are nothing more than POS!
The only thing you did for us was cause us to lose our jobs and our health care benefits due to the security breach. And, you got 12% of my check that you rightfully didn’t earn! You all did nothing, but scam us and I’ll continue to tell people to stay away from you horrible people!

Thanks for nothing!

Confused

August 10, 2015 at 6:31 pm

I am still confused. I was contacted and sent all the onboarding emails and documentation. I filled out and returened the documents and had email contact with Racen Parks.
After a week of no response from anyone I tried emailing Raven and recieved an email saying that Raven would be out of the office until 08/10 and to email Kiki. I emailed Kiki and recieved no response. I tried emailing Raven. Kiki and the Talent email and all 3 came back with DNS errors and they had failed to deliver temporarly. After the messages tried to redeliver for 2 days they came back with failure to deliver messages.

So basically, you all have all my information and I dont have any way to get in contact with anyone and no one has spoken to me for about 2 weeks.

This is very bad business practice to say the least.

I agree with Rikki 100%. We have all the emails and what the emails say is not what you are posting here Donna. Either you are misinformed or lied to by your business partners or you are lying to try and cover this up. There is a large group of us and we have all the emails. We have all talked to the program manager with ZeroChaos ourselves. The actions of those who represent Liberty Workers cost us our jobs!

Hey who ever sent you that email In your updated post is not telling the whole truth. Yes they say they aren’t affiliated with ZeroChaos but that was told AFTER we got hired by ZeroChaos. Apparently they applied for the jobs on our behalf and set up the gmail accounts to use with them which is the issue that caused the serious BREACH in security. Also in there emails to me they said that Google was their client….even in the ad they posted they say their “Client” is a major search engine. That’s not true at all. Google is NOT their client. This is why we were all let go. I am actually a partner with Arise myself….and i know how it works. The way Liberty Workers handle this was not the proper way. If it were similar to Arise as she say……ZeroChaos would have paid monies direct to them and then Liberty Workers would cut us a check. That’s how a staffing agency really works. I have a degree in Business Management and I am expereinced business owner. Liberty Workers don’t know what they’re doing and as a result they will have legal ramifications to deal with. She is lying about James Youn reaching out to Liberty Workers as I spoke with him myself and he told me something entirely different. Iwould not be surprise if ZeroChaos decide to take legal action against them.

Miranda, I’ve never worked for this company, but I have to agree with the job seekers here. Liberty Workers did say that they were affiliated with Zero Chaos as they identified them as their “client”. Here is a cached job advertisement in Google… the people at that company is lying.

Also another thing.. I just think they should have been a little bit more transparent about what they did. “We are not affiliated with them but we have the tools to get you hired” type of thing.. and also connecting with the company would have been a good idea too to prevent people from losing their jobs… Good intentions but wrong process.
