Some people write content, like articles and blogs, for businesses.

Others design websites for businesses or entrepreneurs.

Other people create apps, answer phone calls, transcribe audio files, or coach people.

One excellent way to make money that you might not have thought of is by answering questions people ask as an expert.

Just Answer is a site that lets you get paid to do just that: Answer various questions posted by online users.

We first wrote this article back in 2012 and, understandably, Just Answer has changed quite a bit since then.

That’s why we’re bringing you this updated version that explains how to get started with Just Answer as an expert, what you’ll do, and what you can expect to make.

Ready to dive in? Great!

What is Just Answer?

Justanswer.com is a website where you can go and ask a question to have answered by an expert.

Anyone around the world can use the site to ask questions in a variety of categories, like:

  • Medical
  • Legal
  • Veterinary
  • Phones
  • Computers
  • Mechanics
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Tax and Finance

People need to pay to ask questions, though, so it helps the site weed out people who are just there to ask random questions.

Of course, the site needs people who know what they’re talking about in their fields of expertise to answer those questions people pay money to ask.

That’s where you come from.

The work at home job opportunity here is to become an expert for Just Answer and therefore eligible to answer questions.

Basically, as an expert, you log on and select a question you would like to answer.

You will be able to see the question, how many have already answered, and the amount the person asking the question is willing to pay for the answer.

Just Answer takes a portion of the payment askers pay before you get paid, which is how it makes its money.

The rest of it goes to you, the expert, for answering the question.

That’s the gist of the site, but there’s a lot more to dig into.

How Does it Work for Experts?

To become an expert for Just Answer, you do need to possess certain qualities and a level of expertise in your chosen fields.

It’s not necessarily an easy process to become an expert for the company.

You can apply for various categories, but you’ll need to meet the qualifications for each to be able to answer questions.

Just Answer requires its experts to prove that they know what they’re talking about before they can be accepted into the program.

This means that you’ll need to show proof of your degree, certification, licensure, or something else that proves your expertise, along with completing an application.

A resume is optional, but it might get you approved by the company faster, especially if you already have relevant experience in your field.

You’ll also need a driver’s license or photo ID to confirm that it’s really you who’s applying.

Just Answer notes that it typically takes between 5 and 10 days for applicants in the USA and Canada to hear back, but it could take up to 20 days for other people to get approved or declined.

Some people do have an issue giving all this information away over the internet, but the document uploading software is secure.

Unfortunately, there’s no other way to verify your information, so if you’re not comfortable sharing the information online, then this isn’t the right opportunity for you.

Benefits of Becoming a Just Answer Expert

Just Answer experts get to work wherever they want.

The work you do is all online, so there’s no need to have a quiet place to work as long as you can answer questions with focus and accuracy.

You also won’t need a phone or video software for this job.

It’s simply typing to answer questions, so it’s great for more introverted people or those with young kids or pets in the home who can’t be on the phone all day.

Additionally, you can set your own hours as an expert.

You’ll never have a set schedule, a minimum number of hours to work each week, or any restrictions about how much you can work.

Just log into your dashboard, respond to questions posted there, and get paid.

Rating Systems

Every question you answer will get rated.

The customer who asks the question is allowed to rate every answer they get with either a positive or negative rating.

If the answer doesn’t include helpful information for the asker, the asker can rate it negative.

If this happens, you won’t get paid.

However, a positive rating will release the payment for the question to you.

This system is not only used for payment purposes, but also to ensure that experts are fulfilling their duties by answering questions with thought and care.

There’s also a peer-to-peer review system for this purpose.

With this system, experts can monitor other experts.

If you see an answer from an expert who you think didn’t fully answer a question or provided incorrect information, you can flag that answer.

You can then answer that question for possible payment.

Experts who repeatedly get flagged by other experts may be removed from the system.

Just Answer also has other systems for quality checking experts, like secret “shoppers” who monitor answers for effectiveness and accuracy and an advisory board filled with scholars in various fields who keep track of experts and their answers.

In other words, there’s always someone watching you as an expert, but it helps to make sure that you’re doing your best work.

How Does Payment Work for Experts? Is Payment Guaranteed?

Since you’re looking into Just Answer as a way to make money at home, it’s important that we go over all the payment details.

This is actually one of the biggest complaints of experts who have used the site and continue to use it for side income.

The short answer is no. You will get paid for each answer that is accepted.

That means you could write answers that you never get paid for.

The way payment works here is that you get paid when someone asks a question and picks your answer as helpful, you’ll get paid.

However, an asker can always decline your answer if it sees another one as a better answer.

If that’s the case, you don’t get paid at all.

There’s a chance that you spend two hours a day answering questions and not get paid for any of that time, so it can be tough to figure out what you’ll make.

How Will I Be Paid?

Pay really can vary from expert to expert.

Your final pay will be determined by how many questions you answer, how frequently you answer questions, and how many of your answers get accepted by clients.

Just Answer doesn’t offer a lot of information about its pay for experts on the website.

However, you will reportedly start out earning 20% of what the person is willing to pay for the answer if it is accepted.

You can work up to earning 50% eventually.

Most questions cost between $15 and $30, depending on the category it’s asked in.

Highly technical categories, like medical and legal questions, usually cost more than questions asked in other categories.

Once you have $25 in your account, you can cash out to your PayPal account.

Other Ways to Make Money as an Expert

Interestingly, there are a couple of other ways you can get paid as an expert for Just Answer besides just answering questions.

However, you’ll still need to remain active on the platform to get somewhat steady pay.

These other methods are simply more ways to earn a little extra from your time on Just Answer:

Referring Other Experts

If you know other experts in a field that’s covered by Just Answer, then you can refer them to become experts, too, and get paid for it!

Use the form on the website to send emails to your friends, family, or colleagues.

Just Answer will send them invitations for you.

Depending on the category they become experts in, you’ll earn an amount between $20 and $100.

This bonus amount is subject to change depending on how badly the site needs experts in those fields.

Currently, some of the higher paying bonuses are for referrals in categories like UK cars, heavy and industrial equipment, farm equipment, and autism.

If you’re already an expert, you’ll also get bonus wheel spins to earn cash and prizes in Just Answer contests.

Becoming an Affiliate

You can also become an affiliate for Just Answer.

This is a little different than referring people you know to the platform because you can share your affiliate link anywhere it makes sense, like in emails, on your blog, or in social media posts.

You’ll also use affiliate links to attract askers to the site rather than experts.

When someone uses your link and pays to ask a question, you can earn a portion of that payment.

You’ll get 40% of what a customer pays. On a $20 question, that means $8 for you.

Just Answer even offers widgets that you can place on your website where customers can ask questions for experts directly in the widget.

You’ll get paid when they pay!

What Do Other Experts Say?

A good place to learn more about the Just Answer job for experts is to check Glassdoor.

Glassdoor has several reviews from real people who have, or are currently doing, the job.

You can learn more about what they think the pros and cons of the job are, what they think management can do better, and what their experience was like.

I’ve researched the reviews on Glassdoor, Reddit, and other helpful sites to learn what most experts think about the job.

Here are a few of the common complaints and praise for the gig:

Pros

Several reviews state that Just Answer is easy money as long as experts spend time writing thoughtful answers to questions that people want to give positive ratings.

It’s also a plus that experts can get paid to literally answer questions in subjects they love!

Basically, you get to talk about what you love and earn money.

Also, the gig is flexible, allowing you to work wherever and whenever you want.

Finally, a lot of experts like the fact that they can get paid via PayPal, which simplifies the payment process and gets them paid fast.

Cons

One common complaint for Just Answer experts is that clients don’t have to rate anyone’s answers if they don’t want to.

If they don’t rate your answer as helpful, then you don’t get paid.

In this case, it would be nice if Just Answer would make ratings mandatory to ensure that more experts get paid for their hard work.

Another issue is the application process.

Many legitimate experts say that they have sent all the required documentation but either don’t hear back from the company or don’t get a positive response.

It seems like Just Answer is very selective, or that there might be an issue with the application process that declines people who might be excellent experts.

Is it Legit?

I have seen people posting about working for Just Answer since 2006.

No one has complained about not getting paid money they are owed, and it looks like if you write consistently great answers you could make some fair pocket change.

Some say they have even been able to make a substantial income.

I am sure it depends on workload and number of available questions in specific areas of expertise.

In short, this is a legitimate way to make some extra money from home, but it should not be counted on as a sole source of income until you try it out and see how it will work for you.

Think of it more like a side gig than a full-time income, spend time crafting thoughtful answers, and be active on the platform.

You probably won’t be disappointed if you’re serious about your time on the platform.

How Do I Apply?

On the website, you can click on the “Become an Expert” link down in the footer of the site.

This will lead you to choose areas of expertise you would like to be certified to answer questions about.

You will be able to view the credentials required for each area, and they use a third party service to verify these credentials.

You must either have a bachelor’s degree, licensure, or at least two years of employment experience in the selected area, and you will likely have to pass a short test in your area of expertise.

The tests really are short, four or five questions each, and fairly easy if you think you know anything about the subject at all.

If you do not see an area you are able to provide credentials in as an expert, you can add that area and you do not have to provide credentials right then.

However, you may not hear a response back until you can verify your credentials.

Common FAQs about JustAnswer.com

  1. How does JustAnswer.com work?

JustAnswer.com works on a simple question-and-answer model.

Users visit the website and ask their questions in specific categories such as law, medicine, tech support, veterinary care, and more.

Once a question is posted, it is made available to a network of experts in the relevant field. These experts, who have been verified and approved by JustAnswer.com, review the question and provide a response.

Users can receive answers through different formats, such as written responses, phone calls, or even live chat sessions, depending on the nature of the question and the preference of the user.

The user then has the opportunity to rate and review the expert’s response based on their satisfaction with the answer provided.

  1. How trustworthy are the experts on JustAnswer.com?

JustAnswer.com takes the selection and verification of experts very seriously.

Before an expert can start providing answers on the platform, they must go through a rigorous application process.

This includes verifying their credentials, qualifications, and experience in their respective fields.

JustAnswer.com has a team dedicated to reviewing and approving experts, ensuring that they meet the platform’s high standards.

Additionally, the platform encourages experts to provide accurate and helpful information by allowing users to rate and review their responses. This feedback mechanism helps maintain the quality and trustworthiness of the experts on the platform.

  1. How much does JustAnswer.com cost?

JustAnswer.com operates on a paid model. Users are charged a fee for accessing the expertise and advice provided by the platform’s experts.

The cost of using JustAnswer.com varies depending on factors such as the complexity of the question and the urgency of the response.

Before receiving an answer, users are presented with the estimated cost of the response. This allows users to make an informed decision about whether they want to proceed with their question.

The platform uses a transparent pricing structure, and users are only charged once they confirm that they are willing to pay for the expert’s response.

  1. What if I’m not satisfied with the answer I receive on JustAnswer.com?

JustAnswer.com recognizes that users may not always be completely satisfied with the answers they receive.

In such cases, the platform offers a satisfaction guarantee. If a user is not satisfied with an expert’s response, they can request a refund.

To initiate a refund, users can contact JustAnswer.com’s customer support team and explain the reason for their dissatisfaction.

The platform’s support team will review the case and, if deemed appropriate, provide a refund or other suitable resolution.

Good article! I’ve heard a lot about JustAnswer.com but never got around to my own investigation. Now, I won’t have to do one! LOL

justanswer.com used to be a legitimate website where you could earn some good money, and I did, for a while. Over the last few months, the website has been funneling questions to the people they favor the most and the rest of those people online are lucky if they get to answer 2 or 3 questions a day. To those of you who are thinking of applying to justanswer, don’t bother. It has become a total waste of time and it’s no longer run honestly.

JustAnswer.com are the world’s worst marketers. They routinely run campaigns where they try to solicit customers for bargain-basement prices, promising them the moon at their experts’ expense. JA grants refunds frivolously at the drop of a hat. When experts “up-sell” a question to make more money for themselves and the site, those questions routinely disappear into another “category”–infuriating the customer and soiling the expert’s reputation. Many customers routinely begin their dialogues with, “is this a scam?”

There is some honest intent, but the site’s executives and marketeers are beyond incompetent.

Hrafn Ulfsson

When I say “refunds at the drop of a hat,” there are two problems. The first is that the expert will slave away to provide a superior product, only for the client to find some 0.01% nit and–no questions asked–receive a full refund. It is ROUTINE for 25% to 40% of an expert’s earnings to be refunded back to the company. The COMPANY claims that they granted a refund, but–of course–there is no independent way for the wronged expert to verify this.

The situation is so intolerable–particularly in the case of students who post homework, which experts excellently execute–that you can find Web sites where students share, “How to scam JustAnswer! How to get free work out of JustAnswer!”

It looked like it was great for someone who was maybe a teacher, attorney, or doctor. I saw one lady say she was a vet’s assistant, so she was able to answer questions about animals. I started the process of applying for the finance and accounting homework help since I have a Bachelor’s in Accountiing and that is one of the credentialling requirments, but I got tired, lol! I may give it another shot later. I’ll be honest, it made me a little nervous when all I entered was my name and address and they knew a previous street I had lived on (note that there are LOTS of streets) and a previous vehicle we had owned (there are more of those than there should be too.) They asked the multiple choice questions to verify identity, which in my opionion gives them more credence since they are actually checking out who they let answer these questions, but still….

It’s been a long time since I’ve heard about JustAnswer.com. I’ve browsed the site a few times but never really spend any time there. I didn’t know they were legit. I’ll go back there and see if I can contribute some kind of way.

Miranda Grimm

Well they are definitely legit but I have had someone comment on Facebook that its hard to ever make money because either there are so many experts to compete with or the person who posts the questions never deposit money. I have not used it myself but I think if you have a specialty in something that it could be a simple way to bring in some surprise extras.

Just thought I would share – as I am an expert for just answer. I have been working for them for a while for now and it has been a great way to make supplemental money. I work from home and am a writer. I answer in a couple of different categories. I have found that it depends on the category that you are in and the approval for some of them can be tedious. That being said, I have found it to be helpful and they are legit…. and bonus… never have had a problem getting paid. 😀 It’s not for everyone, but if you can get in, make sure to apply for as as many categories as you are qualified for in order to make the most of it.

JustAnswer.com is a very abusive environment for new experts.
The established experts are threatened by competent experts that get chosen by the customers over them, as JustAnswer.com encourages their new experts to try answering the questions already answered by established experts but not accepted by the customer. The established experts then collude to negatively peer review the new expert and make fake accounts to bait new experts with high dollar value questions
then act obtuse and without basis rate as poor or bad, thus cutting off the new experts rating at the knees , they then publicly tout their ratings vs the new experts ratings which are not as good thanks to manipulations which are very easily done as are stat padding ones own account by making a fake account or 2 or 3 and using the unlimited subscription option to ask themselves 300 questions a month and rate each as excellent!
JustAnswer.com aka Pearl.com ,due to the horrible reputation they earned as JustAnswer.com! Ever since they began charging (2008) the 2 chief complaints are the exact same 2 chief complaints made today years later!
The business model is fraudulent by design, not by mistake as evidenced by the fact they have done zero to modify their website or its function in order to stop the epidemic of enrolling everyone into a subscription , always without any customer knowledge and years later still blaming the customer who is at fault according to JustAnswer.com!!!
And the AAA rating from the BBB is evidencing that JustAnswer.com refinds customers who contact the BBB, that is all it takes! It does not mater that they only refund this way! or that they have done nothing to alter the function of their website, which by the way is about as high tech as a PONG game!
The experts use scripts to lock the questions before they are even exposed to the new experts. Nobody ever gets any IRS paperwork as a 1099 etc, evidencing that their experts are bots, further evidenced by the fact their avatars are dogs or fake european stock pic photos if you reverse image search phil alumilite or billy billyjr billy1961 2 of the most publicized experts,
see this evidence,….

Alumilte/Phil to V12tech,
Peer review was a good idea, but some experts were colluding with others to eliminate the competition that way…. on very thin pretexts.
From alumalite posted on the JA expert forum.

Hello,
This above was posted in our expert forum by alumilite,I responded with my experiences, not mentioning Billy1961,
The next day however,I was negatively peer reviewed by Billy1961 and he mentioned the post,(not mine) and accused
me of being on all experts in 2010,which evidences obsession with me on his behalf and this is all on record.
I was sadly suprised this is not seen as abuse use of the peer review process.

Unfortunately it paralells many of the posts online of expert bullying, stat padding, fake shills,
allegations I had hoped were just sour grapes from terminated sub standard experts.

It is sad this is happening, experts are discussing this ongoing abuse to new experts
openly in the forum as seen below,…

Peer review was a good idea, but some experts were colluding with others to eliminate the competition that way…. on very thin pretexts.
From alumalite on our expert forum.

I have to suspect one so motivated might be likely to manipulate the ratings and comments made, there is an air of fear,it is not new,I read about the experts being afraid to respond,I have felt the same.
The impression among the experts is it is an insider BILLY1961 using IP proxie etc to rate abusively.
Also notice that every abusive case is from a new customer who is rude and without basis for rating us poorly.
I am certain we are talking to Billy and are being manipulated out,BillyJr feels confident he was not harming himself regardless of how abusive, and bizzare his assertions became or how often he negatively peer reviewed me yet let morontia stay posted, much of it his morontia lol.
I have made many requests to mods and admins, some were acting sympathetic but would/could do nothing.

This unit uses flame rectification, this is a DC signal of micro amps that returns to the ignition module via ground/sense terminal.
If it has no flame sensor,it uses the burner /pilot assembly’s bonding which transmits the weak DC signal to the module, thus prove a flame exists and is safe to continue operating. I clean the burner/pilot assembly mounting surface areas, basically we are making a nice conductive path to home, being the grnd/sense/burner ground terminal. In addition I use 18 ga 105C degree rated wire and connectors & run a ground wire in addition to the units grounding back to the terminal that is used for sense or grnd, they are common in the board.Remember it is only transmitting the faint signal that passes through the flame, a flame is a poor conductor and transmits microamps DC,that is easily stopped by a patina or moisture or corrosion etc,
it does not take much and it is easily disrupted and restored. In fact many times new components seemingly rectify an issue, often the restoration of a ground path for the flame signal is really what fixed everything and the old equipment is operative about 40% of the time, according to manufacturers.
Johnson controls makes a flame simulator that simulates a nice DC signal that will work on flame rectification systems,it plugs in with the existing flame proving circuit and clamps to ground with a clip, If it wont run with this, the board/module is defective. For the pressure switch/es I use
tattle tales to tell me if any control opens, even if a brief second, that is hard to spot unless gazing at it while it pops opens for 1 second, pressure switches on the threshold will waver and not be evident by watching, tattle tales pop a flag if opened.
If this continues after typical protocols a in depth analysis must be made noting the water colu[etc]…

I’ve had some contracting work so I have just been checking in from time to time. This was good while work was slow but BillyJr has ruined it for me and is abusing you too! That’s what you get for showing him up daily lol!!

Hang in there. I busted him once with the ‘you thing I don’t know who you are but we know that you are another expert trying to make us look bad”. Never got a reply to that or from a moderator.

this is blowing my buzz

Yeah I seen it on a DIY site the guy go his new tankless waterheater intalled and it wouldn’t work, and fount the cover on the thermostat, a (blister type touchpad) was over the buttons upside down …. huh go figure,,,, I don’t like water heater questions….. they don’t seem to rate or pay….. also Canadians…..dang metric system. And Billly don’t get me started the bone head blew someones fuse on a question the other day, I salvaged it but still didn’t get rated, Some customer service award…..Just ask us and we’ll burn ur stuff up, might as well call Service experts. or Airtime, how about Clockworks, ……..I am on a rantest now….see what you started. LOL

I noticed that you are creeping up in your ratings and that your rating is still better than mine.
I had a moderator ask me to answer a question and I said no thanks. it’s not worth the risk. This policy has to hurt the value to customers and overall quality. Meanwhile unrated questions that have been answered pile up like $20 dollar bills on a blackjack table. Oh well, I’m learning the system.
Glad you arre ok, I have done that before too just opt out of all the ones that won’t reply. You have probably seen how I get more and more agressive with shit like ….You have paid for this service but the site keeps the money unless an expert is rated favorably. sometimes it works if you have been nice all along and they didn;t understand how it works.
I have had help from two other experts in different categories and that was cool. A cat vet and an appliance repair.
I think I might offer appliance repair to avoid BillyJr and give advice there because the crap BillyJr pulls is too much.Do you think BillyJr is really Andrew Kurtzig? This is what many experts are saying.

I think I might offer appliance repair and get expert advice on here because the trades are similar enough.

Below is a typical example of BillyJr’s blatant fraud and manipulations ongoing that have dumbed down the forum,

http://www.justanswer.com/hvac/7is5y-toyotomi

http://www.justanswer.com/hvac/7is9v-toyotomi..

1, posted at 505pm for $30 ignored for 2 hours only after I bit was Billy involved,
BIG SUPRISE!
9 experts besides me were online at 505 pm when this was posted, yet nobody jumped on the $30 question,
A BIG RED FLAG!! Had I not been warned of Billy’s tactic I would have jumped on the $30 question as before and been rated badly! In this case I sat back watching to see if ANYONE was ever going to answer this $30 question
This was not typical behavior by the experts at all!! So I knew the warning was true!

Sure enough at 540pm an identical 2nd TOYOTOMI question was posted!LOL!! BLATANT fake! 2 TOYOTOMI questions on the same day, same hour, same model,is too coincidental factor in all the experts were ignoring the $30 question really proved it!! So I sat back and watched, Guess who answered the 540pm Toyotomi question valued at just $9 yet still ignored the 505pm Toyotomi question valued at $30!! BillyJr !!! In 6 minutes!! Billy was done withy the 540pm question
and was rated excellent of course, lol.I waited 1.5 hours to 630pm and nobody touched the 505pm $30 TOYOTOMI question, GEE why not?? BillyJr answered the $9 540pm question in 6 minutes, WHY was he ignoring the $30 505pm one??? I WONDER?? LOL???

I contacted an admin stating the situation and it was agreed that this was strange and if I bit this bait and was met with an obtuse irrational insulting customer it would be evidence nailing BillyJr in the act, so I stupidly bit the bait thinking JustAnswer administration was competent and cared etc, BIG MISTAKE AS EVIDENCED!
ONLY AFTER I BIT AND WAS CLOWNED DID BILLYJR MAGICALLY MYSTERIOUSLY POP IN TO THE QUESTION HE AVOIDED FOR 1.5 HOURS
AND LOOK AT HIS ANSWER THAT WAS ACCEPTED!IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID BUT WAS ACCEPTED LOL!!

AND THE SADDEST PART IS THAT JUSTANSWER ADMINS DID NOT AND STILL CAN NOT SEE ANY ABUSES!! PATHETIC

NOW FACTOR IN THE INTERESTING FACT THIS CUSTOMER JA FWEORZBRG IS ONE OF BILLYJR’S SHILL ACCOUNTS!!!!

THESE 2 comments typify the rude abusive commentary the HVAC mentor BillyJr makes to any new experts that surpass his level of expertise, any new expert who dare correct Billy1961 or have a customer prefer him over Billy1961 is subjected to obtuse abusive customers that are actually Billy1961, He stat pads his account the same way!Greg kelsey is a fake home inspector who on a subscription asks Billy how old a unit is 600 times over 2 years all rated excellent, ROBHVAC is another shill for stat padding Billy uses to boost his ratings while tearing down any new experts, then use this manipulated rating to convey incompetence or a sub par expertise.

IMAGINE BEING A NEW EXPERT WITH BETTER SKILLS SO YOU GET THE ANSWERS AND THE HVAC MENTOR WHO IS THE SUB PAR EXPERT SAYS THIS ABOUT YOU PUBLICLY MAKING THE SITE LOOK TERRIBLE BUT THAT IS HOW IT IS!

BILLY MAKES FAKE QUESTIONS AS THESE TO RATE NEW EXPERTS POOORLY RUINING THEIR PERFECT RECORDS THEN USING THAT TO MAKE HIM LOOK BETTER!

MIND YOU THIS IS THE HVAC MENTOR!

Awwwww thanks, Keith..just keep hanging in there 🙂

V12tech responds,

There is widespread fearin the expert forums regarding fake/abusive posters,as evidence gurutech alumilite and

warmneighbor saw it too,and all 3 of us are gone now!!!!

If you look at my answers the the bad ratings were clearly abusive, all from accounts that where
new or have never rated anyone favorably.
If you examine my answers to valid customers, there are no bad ratings or any problem.

I was told by JustAnswer admins Billy was not being abusive or colluding with others to
abusing the peer review(over70)process,however of the myriad of persons I have shown none agree.

I saw it,gurutech alumilite and warmneighbor saw it, Phil/alumilite spoke of the abuse in the expert forum!

I was warned BillyJr baits new experts with $30 questions from shill/fake accounts to rate new experts badly
and it sadly is true.
Shill customers are here to make us look bad,I see hundreds questions all to BillyJr from 2 shill customers(Greg

Kelsey fake home inspector, ROBHVAC, fake hvac tech),all asking ridiculous questions
such as, how old is this furnace hundreds of times, try reaching Greg Kelsey’s business! Its all fake!
I reported this and it was denied as well, sorry if one has 600 excellent ratings from 2 customers with subscriptions

used commercially(against the TOS)over 2 yrs,they are stat padding,manipulating as evidenced.
Abuses are ongoing and condoned, the evidence is tremendous and examples egregious.

I was railroaded and tried to do all I could to stop it as evidenced by my repeated requests for help.

Below is a typical example of BillyJr’s blatant fraud and manipulations ongoing that have dumbed down the forum,

Why would anyone who worked hard to obtain his knowledge give free advice? And not even get paid for it? The answer becomes available to anyone!! Free advice for all? No one will repair your car for free or on acceptance. Then, I do not agree with…”Please ask for Lane only” when need an answer. Doesn’t look like an equal opportunity to me. Medical answer should be prohibited. They are 100% generic.

Some serious BS there. Ok, so I get that they want official licenses and certification, however, if you have half a decade of experience *doing the EXACT same job you’d be doing for JA* and literally thousands of blown-away satisfied clients in your wake over that time, you should be able to at least submit your qualifications for review. But nope, unless you fill in every. single. line. in the licenses section you are not allowed to even apply.

This is a very good question since a subscription is $60 a month and experts earn $15 to $30 for each question typically, after a few questions JustAnswer.com would be required to pay the expert thus losing money which is an intolerable situation.
It may be done to give the website a more plausible appearance of being ethical in that there are some customers who engage in the subscription knowingly and willingly and not all collateral damage from the thousands of customers enrolled in a subscription without their knowledge.

This could be quite useful for work at home moms as an added income. Even the retired people can share and answer about their skills or interest. Who wouldn’t like to answer and share the knowledge if they get paid? That goes for a try for sure!

I have been an expert on JA.com for over 10 years. This was the first and only website that ever called me and said, you should get involved!

Over the years I have been off and on with activity, in my peak I earned $1500 in a month part time.

The service has gotten a little more competitive, but the people needing help are the same, some crazy, some super grateful.
