Hold Up.

You think you can make $1000 a month working from home?

It WOULD be true if you were willing to work at least 20 hours a week, have a special skill/trade or were willing to do jobs like freelance writing or phone work.

But if you think you can land an online job that isn’t going to interfere with your current life and routine while still pulling in a grand a month- you’ve gotta be kidding me!

Let’s be real.

If any business or person is going to pay you $250 a week to work from home- they are sure going to expect something in return.

If you are guilty of looking for an easy way to make an extra income- you are walking on a very steep cliff. Many times the desire to pull off a lot of money for very little work leads people straight to scams and rip offs.

The longer you spend trying to find the secret to quick success- the less time you have to build an empire.

It starts small and builds slowly.

Wanna Make $1000 a month working online?

First, be willing to sacrafice your current routine because you gotta fit work in somewhere! Then get ready to research and apply to jobs, build a resume and it might even involve socializing with others online in forums and social media as you learn how others are managing.

The title is a little misleading, but you did clarify that a person can make that amount working from home with time dedication and effort. Maybe a better title would have been “I can easily make $1000 a month.”

I make 750$ per week working from home. No hourly work. All production-based. The trade-off is that to make this amount I work 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. It’s possible to make more than $1000 a month as I do, but the people looking for easy money are the people that aren’t able to do it.

This is a good, honest article. I appreciate you taking the time to post this and the video. So many people go online in hopes of making a quick buck, but it really does take time and effort to be able to stay home with your family and still earn money.

Great video, Miranda! I agree it can be hard to work with kids. When I had kids at home, I did the majority of my work either when they were in school or after they were in the bed at night. Not saying it was always fun. But it’s just like you said. Sometimes you have to be willing to do whatever it takes to make it.

Exactly. Wanting to stay home and be here for my kids when they needed me was definitely my motivation and it allowed me to find a way rather than excuse my way out of it.

Thanks for the article!

There is definitely a myth that you can “easily” make quick money from home. I have been blessed enough with my ESL tutoring job to make $900 monthly, working 15 hours/week. However, I also do phone mystery shopping which brings in an additional $200-300/month (a couple of hours/week), and also work as a virtual assistant. It took me a couple of years of searching to find these “eggs” so they definitely didn’t come quickly. I’ve learned that making the income you need from home is certainly possible, but you’ve got to be willing to work hard, challenge yourself, and think outside the box.

Love your thinking Keisa! It takes that drive and self motivation to reach any goal! Congrats on finding something that works well for you!

It’s so true that good-paying work at home jobs are few and far between. And so much of it depends on your talents and experience level too. For me, having several eggs in my basket is a necessity!

I think my favorite line is “The longer you spend trying to find the secret to quick success- the less time you have to build an empire.”. It is very important to build your business over time and not look for quick money. Quick money is almost always a scam when you are building a business.

I make $1000 a month working from home but it can be less or more depending on some factors like whether I submitted feedback on time or how many teaching hours I had. I could be making double that because I’m only working 16 hours a week.
