Get Transcribed sounds like a pretty unusual name when you really think about it.

I mean, it’s a place that tells you that you can get your work transcribed.

It sounds pretty obvious given that you’d get on this site for such a thing, right?

Well, it turns out that the site is precisely what they say it is.

It’s all about transcription indeed.

So with that in mind, I figured I would take a closer look at what makes the site so attractive and worth checking out.

About the Site

Get Transcribed has been in operation since 2012.

They’re based out of Ohio and only offer transcription work.

So, at least the company name is accurate in that they just work with transcription tasks above all else.

But what is it about the site that makes it worthwhile?

Well, the transcription tasks that they offer are rather varied.

They work with medical, legal and business transcription tasks alike.

They also offer some entertainment projects although those are kind of few and far between.

You won’t be bored all that easily when working here because the type of work you will complete on this site is rather varied and intriguing.

I also saw that anyone can get on the site so long as they are proficient in their transcription work.

It’s typically best to try and send a resume just to be safe.

You’ll be told to complete a test after you apply.

Get a score of 85 percent or higher so you can be accepted.

But after you take that test, you’ve got to be as accurate as possible.

You’ve got to hold an accuracy rating of 98 percent so you can keep on working.

They are really specific when it comes to getting different types of tasks completed.

You should be able to easily get on the site without any problems.

They will work with English-speaking people from the United States, Canada, Australia and all sorts of other countries.

The key is that you actually fully understand the English language.

Working For Get Transcribed

As you get approved to work for Get Transcribed, you’ve got to be as specific as possible in your work.

It will be like second nature to you when you get all of these things done after a while.

They don’t require you to spend a certain amount of time working each week.

They have enough people on hand to take care of the tasks at hand.

But they will ask you to complete enough tasks on a regular basis so you can actually be paid.

What Are You Paid?

You will be paid 23 cents per minute of audio that you transcribe while working here.

You’ll also get 12 cents for every audio minute that you edit.

You can also edit your own transcription work on your own to get 35 cents per minute.

I really like this as it makes it easier for you to work on both parts of the program.

They will pay you each month through PayPal.

I couldn’t figure out when in the month they will pay you though.

Also, you have to get at least $100 in your account with the site before you can actually get paid.

Try this place out if you’re looking for a great way to make money.

They aren’t necessarily excited by the pay structure and I don’t blame them.

In summary, I found Get Transcribed to be an interesting place for how it has a good record and offers a number of jobs.

I wasn’t a fan of how they don’t pay much and that they require you to have enough money in your account before you can withdraw it.

Still, I at least appreciated how the site offers plenty of jobs.

You’ll enjoy working here if you are great with your transcription tasks and you fully understand the ins and outs of the English language.

More importantly, it’s a place worth checking out if you are attentive and focused on details.
