If so, you probably had to call to pay the fine and get it mobilized again. Well that’s exactly what customer service representatives at Direct Interactions do.  This article will provide more information on the work at home customer service opportunity with Direct Interactions

What do customer service representatives at Direct Interactions do?

Customer service representatives at Direct Interactions take calls from people who need to pay unpaid parking tickets to have their vehicle mobilized again.

What is scheduling like, and how many hours would I have to work?

Scheduling is flexible – shifts are open 7 days a week from 4 am to 12 am Pacific time (7 am to 3 am Eastern Time).  You need to work at least 30 hours a week, and at least 6 of those need to be on the weekend.

What kind of training and experience is Direct Interactions looking for?

You need to have at least a high school diploma and some call center experience, and you need to be able to pass a background check.

What other qualities do agents need to have?

Since you’re going to be talking to people who have had their vehicle immobilized, you’ll need to be able to remain calm, cool and collected, and still be able to provide accurate information to the callers. You also need to be able to handle and resolve customer complaints.

What technical requirements does my computer need to meet?

Your computer needs to be running Windows XP, Vista, or 7, have Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox installed.  You also need to have a DSL or cable internet connection and a corded landline phone, a USB headset, current anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed, and an operational firewall installed.

Work from home for Direct Interactions and earn $10 an hourHow much will I get paid working for Direct Interactions?

You’re paid $9.35 an hour during training, then once you start taking calls your rate goes up to $10 per hour. If you speak Spanish, you can potentially make $11 per hour.

What do others have to say about working from home for Direct Interactions?

I found several very positive reviews on Glassdoor for the work at home position with Direct Interactions. Many people like the flexibility of the job, and many people have good things to say about management.  There were mixed opinions about pay – some thought it was great, others thought it could be improved. Cons mentioned by some were the pay, and also that some of the calls can be abrasive, since many of the people that you’re talking to are not happy.

This all sounds great, how do I apply?

Go to the Direct Interactions career page and choose “work at home”. Then, select the position you’re interested in, and fill out the application.  If the company thinks you’re a good fit they will contact you for an interview.

If you’re looking for a job that’s challenging and provides a lot of flexibility and excellent pay, Direct Interactions could be an excellent fit for you. If you’ve had any experience with them or decide to apply, feel free to comment below!

I have applied twice to Direct Interaction and they told me in a very vague way that I wasn’t what they were looking for. I have worked from home for over 5 years and I have worked in a brick and mortar call center before. I have had 20 years Customer services/sales experience and 6 years of collections. I’ve had experience accepting payments over the phone as well. Out of curiosity after the second rejection, I emailed them to ask what specifically caused me to not qualify for the position. Was it my resume, my experience, or lack thereof? Of course my email was professionally written. They did not respond. After a week went by, I emailed them again and I got no response. Very rude and unprofessional! I asked a friend who works from home to apply there. The end result? She was not selected for an interview and was ignored as well when she emailed them twice like I did.

I have a very similar background and I was treated the exact same way. I did receive an email back only reiterating that I was not what they were looking for and it was very vague. I believe they are really looking for people with little to no experience and they will take advantage of them.
There seems to be something strange going on with this company.

Yeah, these a-holes did not hire me neither and told me the exact same thing as they told the above commentators. I think they literally want to only hire nothing but mentally retarded people and folks with mental challenges (those they probably are treating like dogs and will do what they say without complaints and at a drop of a dime) and not those of the opposite mental case. Because on their website and Facebook page all I saw was disabled type people – from wheelchair bound ones to those you can tell have Down Syndrome. They’re a disaster for not hiring qualified people and just get a cheap thrill out of telling them “no you’re not what we’re looking for”, and with that being said maybe it’s best that the sane, non-disabled person not even apply, in which whom they avoid hiring. They suck as a company if this is the case and need to be shut down.

As a 4 year employee, I know that they receive 100’s of applications & the HR department is small. It’s a small but growing company, so out of 100 applications they only select 10 people at a time. When I was hired, they were only selecting 5 people at a time. I also have a similar background as you the two above.

I worked for this company. They are not true to their word. They don’t pay bonuses, give raises or give a new contract after a couple years. They talk a good game though. Do not trust them. they will be great when you first start.
