That’s why, at Work at Home Adventures, we strive to always seek out the newest companies offering data entry jobs and update our older reviews of companies to make sure that you have the latest information when you’re looking for work.

Back in 2010, we wrote a small TDEC data entry jobs review about The Data Entry Company (TDEC), a company that was mentioned several times in work at home forums on the web.

Here’s how the review went:

“I applied for a data entry company, TDEC (The Data Entry Company) last Friday. I have read thread after thread in forums online about this company.

I have not read anything negative.

I guess it can just be hard to get on the few times they look for more agents.

The only hint at pay I could find was that it was not the ‘greatest’.

Of course, everyone’s opinion on good pay is different.

If by chance I am offered a spot with this company, I will pass on what I can.

They do have a contract you must sign that prohibits you from sharing too much information. Anyhow, here is the link for The Data Entry Company (TDEC).

As always, best of luck to you!”

As you can tell, it’s short and sweet because there really wasn’t much information out there about the company at the time.

So, I did some searching to see if I could find out any new information about the site, its data entry jobs, and how they work out for those who want to work from home.

I didn’t find out much more than the writer did several years ago, but this review has the most up-to-date information about TDEC and its data entry jobs.

What is TDEC?

TDEC is short for The Data Entry Company.

As its name suggests, the company focuses a lot on data entry for its clients.

It seems like the company started out mostly with data entry and has since expanded into several other areas, too, like call center work, loan processing, and document management, which is why it goes more by its abbreviation of TDEC.

As for data entry work, TDEC works with high-profile clients, like the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) on data entry tasks to process forms and other documents.

It’s also worked with the Florida Department of Health to key data from the state’s important records.

That’s some big stuff that really signals that this is a legit business.

And, it’s been around for several years, which is another good sign.

TDEC Careers

This is where it gets a little murky.

Some information I’ve found online shows that TDEC definitely did offer data entry jobs to freelancers who work remotely.

What’s not clear is if the company still does.

The most recent account of someone mentioning that they work from home as a data entry typist for TDEC that I could find is from 2014.

It appears that this site is a little more hush-hush about its work from home openings than others since there’s just not much information about it online.

However, that doesn’t mean data entry jobs at home don’t exist here.

They could, but I can’t find that information on the site.

If you head to the Careers page, you’ll find open positions for prospective employees.

Currently, there are openings for proposal coordinators and mortgage service representatives.

Like most companies that offer a variety of services for its clients, TDEC has openings available depending on client needs.

It’s possible that they have a fully available staff, currently, to meet its data entry needs for clients.

You can always check back on the Careers page to see what’s available.

If you are interested in its current positions, you’ll get an awesome range of benefits as an employee.

The company promises perks like direct deposit, paid time off, paid holidays, life insurance, and health insurance.

How Can I Apply for Data Entry Jobs with TDEC?

I’ve seen some reports online that you can email the company your resume if you’re interested in a data entry position since it doesn’t usually list them on the site.

This might be true because more and more companies are electing to remove work at home information from their websites simply because they get way more inquiries than they can handle every day.

It’s worth a try if you’re interested in seeing what, if anything, TDEC has to offer you.

You can send a resume to jobs@tdec.com.

Where Else Can I Find Work at Home Data Entry Jobs?

I definitely understand if you don’t want to spend time chasing down someone at TDEC to find out if they still hire remote data entry specialists.

If that’s the case, then you might consider one of these other companies that we know, for sure, still work with remote data entry workers like yourself.

Xerox

One of the largest companies offering printing solutions, Xerox is also one of the best work at home companies to work for.

Xerox has its own virtual office program through which you can find jobs in data entry, image tagging, customer support, tech support, and more.

When you search its jobs page, make sure you choose your country and then check the box that says “Yes” under Virtual/Work from Home.

Sigtrack

Sigtrack specifically looks for freelancers to help with its data entry tasks.

In this job, you’ll verify signatures of registered voters.

You must be in the United States and you’ll need to provide proof of your citizenship to get approved for work.

The pay seems to fluctuate anywhere between 5 cents and 15 cents, depending on the exact work you’re doing, and you’ll get paid weekly with PayPal.

Amazon Mechanical Turk

I often mention Amazon Mechanical Turk in any blogs I write about data entry work because it’s one of the best places for it, even though it doesn’t focus only on data entry.

The best part about this platform is that you can choose the tasks you want to work on, so you’re never stuck doing something you don’t enjoy or that you consider too low in pay.

On Amazon Mechanical Turk, you can find tons of data entry tasks at any given time.

Do as many or as few as you want and get paid right into your Amazon Payments account!

I tried applying to TDEC more recently, and I was told that they no longer hire independent contractors or freelancers to work from home.
