Textbroker is a company I find myself referring others to the most often. It is highly flexible, quick to get started and pays fast. However, I recently realized I do not have much of an explanation of Textbroker.com here on the site. Considering it is one of my highest rated home based companies, I feel it is due time to give it the respect it deserves and write an official Textbroker review!

Textbroker contracts with inexperienced writers as well as those who have been writing for years. Once accepted at Textbroker, agents are given access to a pool of article subjects to be written. Clicking each article will give the client instructions and the option to accept or decline the article. Even once accepted, writers can return the article to Textbroker without penalty whatsoever. However, to keep a good standing with Textbroker clients it is important to fulfill accepted articles within the time-frame given. Articles can be written in Microsoft Word or other personal software and then pasted into the Textbroker submission window or written directly into the Textbroker website. However, be sure to save your work regularly.
Each article written will be rated and will affect your personal Textbroker star rating. The higher your star on a scale of 1-5, the better your skill level is within Textbroker guidelines.
Pay at Textbroker:
Textbroker pays per word. Each article has a word count range they expect. You can write over the word count, but will only be paid up to their limit. The pay varies depending your star rating. Here is the breakdown from Textbroker’s website:
Quality- and payment-rates at Textbroker?
payment per 500 words
(approximately one letter page)
2 stars: legible
3 stars: good quality
4 stars: excellent quality
5 stars: professional quality
Textbroker has just begun making payout weekly! Once an article is written, it will be credited to your Textbroker account immediately after the client accepts it. Textbroker clients must either accept/reject or request rewrite within 3 business days or the article is automatically accepted and credited to your Textbroker balance.
How to Get Started at Textbroker:
Start by visiting the Textbroker FAQ page. This should answer most pending questions. Then visit the application page…both links can be found at the bottom of this post. Textbroker will first collect some basic information. Then, Textbroker will need a short writing sample. They will provide you with a list of subject to choose from (example: A description of your favorite store, business or brand). The sample writing only needs to be 120-250 words. Once Textbroker reviews the samp
le they will let you know if you are accepted (majority of people are…I have only ever heard of one person who was not). Textbroker will also give you your initial star rating.
Is Textbroker For Everyone?
No. Although Textbroker does not require previous writing experience or exceptional skills, it does ask for basic grammar and spelling knowledge. Additionally, a good understanding of American English is necessary. While Textbroker is not for everyone, it is something most people can add to their collection of WAH eggs. Textbroker is a quick and easy way to make extra money. When done right, Textbroker can be a substantial income maker. Many writers depend solely on Textbroker for their significant monthly expenses.
My Experience and Tips:
Textbroker can be a very profitable job if you limit your research time. It is easy to spend an hour researching a topic before even beginning to write. But what good is spending over an hour for $4 or $5? Learn to find a few helpful websites on the topic and then begin writing. If you cannot find adequate information right away, return the article to Textbroker and move onto something else. Productivity is key, or you will end up feeling it is not worth your time, when you realize you are only averaging $3/hour because of time spent researching. Additionally, Textbroker often sends feedback for articles written. Use the feedback as a learning tool. Textbroker is helping you succeed by letting you know what the expectations are for higher rating.
