As an aspiring professional freelance writer, I am excited to someday write for About.com! The pay is excellent and offers a great way to expand your audience and portfolio for even more high paying work! I am sure many of you, while searching for something random have come across an About.com website. It is always full of great information and I have always found it to be a great resource!

On average, About.com guides commit 10-15 hours a week and average $2000 a month! Pay does range however. Base pay to start is at $675/month and you receive incentives for page-view growth. Beginning Guides with About.com average $1200 a month and after the first two years average $2000. Some make as much as $6000 a month! This is the DREAM job for any freelance writer! It not only is excellent pay, but also still allows plenty of time for other jobs, hobbies and passions!

To write for About.com you must be proficient on the topic you choose to apply under. You also must have published writing articles to share your experience and knowledge.
