I spent the last week visiting family in Wisconsin. I had a wonderful and surprisingly relaxing time! Fireworks over Lake Winnebago were fantastic! Italian food at Victoria’s in Appleton was delicious! And napping in a hammock with the wind blowing me side to side was peaceful! I am refreshed and ready to get back to work!

However, my predicament now is…what do I do? Of course, my main working gig is as a phone agent for LiveOps. But I like to keep something going on the side as well. All of this research I have been doing to find NON PHONE job leads, that pay well enough to hang up my phone, is leading me to writing!

I have been writing for TextBroker and really enjoy the work. It is a great way for newcomers like myself to gain experience in the field. I received my first rating yesterday and was shocked to find I was given a 4/5 stars. And from what I understand, 5/5 is something that just doesn’t happen. My 4 star status is a huge boost of encouragement for me.

However, TextBroker seems to pay on average around $3-$4 per article. After further studying I realize there are many other companies that pay upwards of $10 per article! I really feel with dedication, education and strong drive I could make a decent living in just writing. I am scheduling a time to speak with my local college counselor this week. I am hoping to take some online courses to expand my writing skills and give me the basic knowledge to succeed. I will let you all know where this all leads as it plays out. I have great support from my husband and mother which is very helpful and I am so thankful!
