What is Article Document?
Article Document is a website that allows you to write a variety of different types of articles – you’ll start out just writing blogging assignments that have to be a minimum of 300 words, however once you increase your writer level from a 5 to an 8, you’ll be able to write journalist assignments as well.
How is payment for each assignment determined?
This depends on the type of article you’re writing. Blogger articles only pay royalty income, which is determined based on the quality and popularity of the article, so promoting your writing is very important with these types of assignments. With journalist assignments however, you’re paid a fixed amount per word, per assignment. Once you’re able to accept Journalist assignments, you’re also given access to additional special earnings opportunities.
What are the other differences between Blogger and Journalist assignments?
There are other differences between Blogger and Journalist assignments – writers who write Journalist assignments are held to a higher standard of quality, and with Journalist assignments you have the option to have a byline or stay anonymous.
Also, Journalists are assigned a writer agent – I’m not clear as to what the role of the writer agent is, but I suspect the writer agent is something like an editor. Also from what I’ve seen, blogging assignments require US English, while journalistassignments may ask for Australian or UK English to be used.
Do the editors at Article Document provide helpful feedback?
Yes. The editors that have edited the blog posts I’ve done have provided helpful feedback, which has helped me get better article ratings – because of this I’m now a level 8 writer, so I can start accepting journalist assignments.
What kind of topics are available?
Article Document has assignments on a variety of different topics – everything from education to health, reviews of different websites, business, and so on. The first assignment I accepted was about career opportunities for moms, and I just finished an article about career building opportunities for students. There is something for just about every interest.
What are the deadlines like?
The deadlines vary from very generous to very tight, so when you select an article, be sure you’ll be able to submit it by the deadline, because writers who submit articles late are locked out of their account for 48 hours.
What other features does Article Document have that make it unique?
You can track your earnings, and you also have access to a log of your completed assignments – the log includes a link to your article so you can share it with others, and you’re also provided a link to your editor’s feedback on each article, so you can use the information to make your next article even better.
There’s also a resources section that contains information such as how articles are rated, and also links to writing and grammar tools, and frequently asked questions for both bloggers and journalists.
What else should I know about Article Document?
When you accept an assignment, make sure you complete it, because you don’t have the option to return assignments once you’ve accepted them, and you’ll be blocked from accepting assignments for 48 hours if you submit an assignment late.
How do I get started?
Just go here and click the “Apply Now” button – once you’ve provided the information asked for and set up your account, you’ll be granted a writer level of 5 and you’ll be able to start writing blogging articles. Good luck!
Update 6/10/23:
Since I wrote my original article, Article Document has made a lot of changes to their website. They now offer three different types of assignments: industry qualification assignments, ghost writing assignments, and simple social share assignments.
In addition, they’ve added the ability to add your social media accounts to their site. This allows you to increase your social influence, which affects the assignments you’re offered. The following paragraphs will provide a little more information on the different types of assignments.
Industry Qualification Assignments
These assignments allow you to qualify as an expert in different industries. These include arts and humanities, B2B, Career, Education, and Entertainment, among many others.
You qualify for these different assignments by choosing the area you have experience in, then writing an article on that area. Once you’ve qualified in this area, you’ll be able to receive ghostwriter assignments.

Ghostwriter Assignments:
With ghost writer assignments, you can write anonymously, and you’re paid a fixed rate per article of anywhere from 3 cents per word to 10 cents per word. You’re offered these assignments based on how many words you can write per day – you put this in under your availability.
Simple Social Share Assignments:
With Simple Social Share assignments, you receive emails about opportunities to monetize your social media networks and brand value. These opportunities are sent to you based on your experience in different industries, and your interests, so it’s important to keep these updated.
You can choose which opportunities you want to share, and you’ll get paid for sharing things like coupons, announcements, and pieces of content. You need to have a minimum Brand value of at least 500 to receive these assignments however, so it’s important that you connect all your social networks and share content as often as you can.
You can also increase your reach by connecting your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles. In addition, Article Document has also added Brand Value, Brand Reach, and Brand Power scores. Brand Reach is a weighted calculation of your social media connections, brand power is a weighted calculation of your social media influence and interaction (in other words, how much you participate in discussions), and Brand Value is the combination of the two scores – if your brand value is high, you have a better chance of receiving assignments.
Article Document will provide suggestions on how to improve your brand value – you may need to add your social networks, or share more valuable content.
Though I haven’t written any articles with Article Document since they made these changes, I’m confident that they will help me make more money on this website. If you’ve written articles on Article Document since they made the changes, I’d love to hear your experiences – please feel free to comment below.

I just had my first article approved from Article Document. The approval happened in less than 24 hours.
There are plenty of articles to choose from in different fields so you should be able to find something that you enjoy writing about. I got the most pleasure from seeing my name in print so the revenue share part does not bother me as much since I only choose articles I can write fairly easy.
I obviously can not comment on how much you can make, but I just submitted another article today for approval so maybe once I get enough articles written for them, I will see some money for my time.

I’ve written several blogger assignments for article document and understand that the assignments are simply for optimization value. I check the journalist assignments frequently and unfortunately there have only been two. Anyway, can the number of visitors for each blogger assignment only raise by 1 per night?

This site works wonderfully. I submitted my first assignment and it was viewed right away. The editors gave great advise and told me what I did well. I really liked that the pointed out the good parts and not just the bad parts. I have not been paid yet, as my article was posted recently. It can be seen here: http://clientservicejobs.com/receptionist-job-description-aid-11240/
I would suggest this site to anyone looking to write and improve their writing. It doesn’t pay super well, but it is a lot of fun. Thank you for giving me the information on it!

I’ve worked with Tempest Media/ Article Document. They do have a unique framework and it is simple enough to access assignments. My only reservations is that their rating of the assignment is not always obvious and has some elements of indicating their is the tendency to underrate. I’ve also noticed that when it comes to getting paid the process is a bit onerous. You have several documents you have to submit prior to payment; even when mailed I never did get paid. I now have to go through the process again even though my work was received, submitted to the customer, and the company received payment for my work. I am considering notifying the IRS because this practice represents elements I am uncomfortable with. My trust of the company now is not what it used to be. I likely will no longer write any more briefs for the company; it’s not a real loss since the topics are very restricted and limited for assignments that will offer any payment. The average payment for an assignment that takes an hour or more is $8.00.

Just started with them, and while the turn-around time between submission and notification is quick, the text editor is cumbersome and unstable. I’ve lost two articles in their system, so I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to continue, especially since the pay is so low. Furthermore, readers who do click on the link to a given article encounter an annoying interstitial ad they will have to wait for before the “skip this ad” option comes up.
When the blog posts appear, they’re usually on this sketchy-looking blog that has no real URL; I have no idea where the articles goes, if anywhere.

Roughly how long did it take you to get your writing level from 5 to 8?

In answer to the last question, it only took about two articles to get my rating up to an eight, but you have to submit at least five to raise your classification from a ‘generalist’ to a specialist, no matter what your rating is. I am a little confused about some of the things people are saying on here. Yes, the pay is low but I generally just use it to get my name out there. A lot of sites that you write for don’t let you re-post your work and this one does. I can re-post anything that I write on my website. For the blogger assignments, you are paid royalties for the amount of views you get on your article, so there is an option for you to share it on Facebook or Twitter to maximize the number of views. I’ve never come across any kind of add you have to wait for, like someone posted above, so I don’t know where that’s coming from. They respond very quickly and give helpful advice for each article submitted. I love this site, and I will be writing for them for a long time, even if the pay is very low.

Article document is a scam they cheat their writers.,to keep them from giving their writer royalty earnings they lie to them about how many hits their writer have received on Facebook and twitter. My wife had over ten thousand hit for he one of her articles and more then this for the rest of her articles document only give a five dollars and fifth cent earning for three years. of writing remember she never stop writing for them after that five dollars and fifth cent earning. and today it is still the same amount. My wife left this cheating company.. The reason I am wring this for my wife is because this experience is still to painful for her even today. But she is staring to try other companies.
.They need to be remove from the internet. They will get their reward you can not cheat people and expect to successful. All the great comments their favorite writers lying about this company. Stay away from article document run fast. Run Run Run Run from article document

Just an FYI… On account creation Article Document sent me my login and password back to me plain text in an email. This is NOT secure. I have reservations about using a site that would make such a blatant security mistake, especially when talking about financial transactions of any sort.
