It’s true. It’s not as simple as searching for whatever you want on Google, though!

This article looks at two ways for you to make money by searching the web: through evaluating search results and by using sites that let you search and get paid.

Sites That Pay You to Search the Web

A bit different than search engine evaluation jobs, these websites will pay you to search the web for specific things, or for things you’d search for anyway!

InboxDollars

InboxDollars is a GPT site like GrabPoints.

There are several ways to make money on this site, including paid games, watching TV, reading emails, completing free and paid offers, and taking surveys.

One of the easiest ways to earn cash, though, is by searching the web using the InboxDollars search bar!

Simply complete searches you’d normally use Google or other search engines for through the search bar.

You’ll rack up some change every time you use it.

Plus, paid searches are usually part of the weekly bonus tasks that you’ll see on your dashboard, which gives you extra money in your account when you complete them.

You can cash out with InboxDollars when you have $30 in your account, but you can usually get that quickly if you utilize several of the site’s earning methods.

You’ll get points when you download apps from the Microsoft Store, use the Microsoft Edge web browser, purchase Microsoft products, and use Bing to search on your PC or mobile device!

Get Paid for Searching the Web as a Search Engine Evaluator

One of the ways you can get paid for searching the web is through becoming a Search Engine Evaluator.

Although these jobs may work somewhat differently depending on the company you choose, they are similar in nature.

Basically, you’ll be helping search engines provide more relevant results to people who use them.

Google’s algorithm is very complex and no one but its developers know exactly how it works.

But, it’s not foolproof yet, so it needs the help of real people – search engine evaluators – to rate how relevant search results are for terms people use.

So, technically, you’ll get to use web searches daily as a part of your job!

Most of these jobs will pay between $12 and $15 per hour and are typically part time for 20 to 25 hours per week.

Here are four of the biggest companies in the industry that offer search engine evaluator jobs.

Appen

Appen has a two “evaluation” jobs: Social Media Content Evaluator and Web Search Evaluator.

If you want to search the web, you’ll need to apply for a Web Search Evaluator position.

Be careful when you search the Careers page, as these positions are location-specific, even though they’re work-from-home jobs.

You’ll work up to 4 hours per day or 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Pay is said to be between $11 and $13 per hour.

iSoftStone

iSoftStone has Search Engine Evaluator positions available for certain locations.

You’ll have free training and can work between 10 and 25 hours per week on a flexible schedule.

Pay is reported to be between $12 and $13 per hour.

Leapforce

Leapforce is one of the most popular companies that provides Search Engine Evaluator jobs to independent contractors.

But, this company does have a very strict application process that involves testing to ensure that you know how to properly evaluate searches according to procedures.

But, once you’re through, you’ll have a flexible schedule and will usually get around 20 hours per week.

Pay is around $13 per hour.

Lionbridge

The position here is known as an Internet Search Reviewer, but you’ll be doing basically the same type of tasks with some additional testing of apps and products.

You’ll need an Android smartphone for this position because you’ll have to download apps to your phone to evaluate.

You’ll also need a Gmail account that you use regularly and know how to use thoroughly. Pay for this job averages about $13 an hour.

Upwork

Upwork is a freelancing platform that offers a wide range of job opportunities, including search engine evaluator roles.

Many companies and individuals post search engine evaluator jobs on Upwork, allowing you to find freelance projects in this field.

Create an account on Upwork, build your profile, and search for search engine evaluator jobs.

Upwork provides a platform for communication, project management, and payment processing, making it convenient for both freelancers and clients.

Conclusion: Get Paid for Searching Google!

Now you know: You can definitely get paid for searching the web. And many of these sites will even let you search for anything you’d normally use Google for!

This may be one of the easiest ways to earn money online, but that doesn’t mean it will make you rich.

You may want to test out a few of these paid search sites to find out what one you earn the quickest with. Then, stick with that one for all your searches to rack up your earnings faster.

Do you currently use any of these sites to get paid to search? Have you had any of the search engine evaluation jobs we mentioned? Let us know in a comment!
